Wellbeing

At our school, student wellbeing and learning go hand in hand. We want every student to feel safe, included and ready to learn. Whether your child needs help with their mental, emotional, social or physical wellbeing, we are here to help them thrive at school and in daily life.

How we support student wellbeing

Our school offers a confidential counselling service to our students. A teacher may recommend the service by referring a student to the school’s learning and support team. As a parent or carer, you may refer your child directly to the school counselling service. Students can also self-refer to the service.

Wellbeing Support Officer

Our Student Wellbeing Officer visits our school once a week to provide valuable support for our students’ emotional and social development. She works with children to help them recognise and regulate their big emotions, giving them the tools they need to manage feelings in healthy ways. She also teaches important skills for building trong, meaningful friendships - including how to identify what makes a true friend and how to recognise social cues. Through these programs, she helps students develop deeper connections with their peers, fostering a positive and supportive school environment where every child can thrive. We encourage parents to reach out if they believe their child could benefit from this support.
