Our extra-curricular highlights
Debating and public speaking
Students can develop their thinking, communication and teamwork skills through debating and public speaking. They also have the chance to compete in local and state events.
Band
Epping Public School’s music program is run by the volunteer efforts of the P&C Band and String committee. The program aims to provide students with the opportunity to explore instrumental music in a fun, collaborative environment and to equip students with the skills to engage with music into their futures.
Trips and excursions
Our students enjoy getting out of the classroom to explore, learn and try new things. These experiences help them grow, build confidence and see how their learning connects to the world.
Sports
Our school offers a variety of sports including PSSA Netball and Soccer teams, knockout cricket competitions, and access to table tennis tables. These activities promote teamwork, fitness, and school spirit, giving students many opportunities to stay active and enjoy friendly competition throughout the year.
STEM
The Australian Virtual Astronaut (AVA) Challenge is a STEM program where students tackle real NASA and Australian space challenges. Teams design innovative solutions and present them via video or poster. Our students have excelled, winning this National competition in 2024 and placing third in 2025 with their Growing Food in Space pitch.
Community Language Classes
In NSW one third of school students have family ties to a community language other than English. Epping Public School helps school students learn and use their own community language - and learn more about their culture - through community languages schools. We offter Korean, Chinese and Hindi classes.
